Violet Lucca

Violet Lucca is Web Editor and Digital Director at Harper’s Magazine and a member of the New York Critics’ Circle. She regularly contributes writing to Sight & Sound and was formerly the Digital Producer at Film Comment. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Sight & Sound, The Village Voice, Reverse Shot, Criterion, and others. Lucca studied film and film production at the University of Iowa, graduating with honours, and received her Master’s degree in cinema studies from New York University in 2009. She has also worked at the Byrd Hoffman Watermill Center and WNYC. She tweets at @unbuttonmyeyes.
